I can’t believe how long it has been since I posted on this blog. It is really amazing how fast time flies and I don’t mean just the days, but the years! Thinking about this, of course, started me thinking about people, places, and special times in my life through the years. Naturally, all of this thinking started me going through boxes… Needless to say, it was not a quick trip! So my latest list is a few of the memories I found on my journey…
1. Handprints my children made with fingerpaint when they were three and four ( now they are in college).
2. A box full of birthday and Valentine’s Day cards my grandmother had sent me through the years.
3. A paystub from my first “real” job.
4. High School Yearbook–Need I say more??
5. McCall’s Dress Patterns- I bought them new, but I think they qualify now as “vintage”.
6. An old cell phone–and I don’t mean last year’s model. My cordless landline is not much bigger.
7. A thank you card from the mother of one of my Kindergarten students. She gave it to me on the last day of school thanking me for teaching her child. It can still bring tears to my eyes just to think about it.
These are just a few of the amazing things I found. I highly recommend taking a journey of your own.
